| A lovely 19th century portrait in oil of a beautiful baby girl! This is an unsigned oil on canvas laid down on some type of thin masonite board probably to restore torn or perhaps missing portions of the canvas. The restored portions may be seen in the background just above her head on the right and to the right of her shoulder. I've raked a bright light across the canvas in picture 3 to make this stand out more. Three of the folds in her dress appear to have been overpainted as well. The size of the gilt frame is 27 1/2" high X 19 5/8" wide and the width of the frame is 2". | ||
