| This sterling silver footed child's cup has a frieze around the rim with twelve nursery rhyme scenes done in relief. There is the cow jumping over the moon, the cat and the fiddle, blackbirds in a pie and others. It has a three-letter monogram with the date '1900' engraved beneath it. The beautiful handle is reeded. On the bottom are the Gorham hallmarks of a lion, an anchor and 'G'. It's also marked 'sterling' and numbered 'A112' and '4'. It's a little over 3 inches high and is 3 1/4 inches across the top. It weighs about 6 ounces. There are two or three minor dents which you can see if you look for them and a few tiny nicks on the rim that were probably made by little teeth. It's been used, but since it's heavy, it's still in good condition. | ||
