This incredible hot water pot stands a little over 9 3/4 inches high. It was made by Thos. Whipham & Chas. Wright, London, and has the date mark for 1757-58. The repousse work is beautiful and incorporates exotic birds, trees bursting with fruit, vines, flowers and pagodas. There are different scenes on the front and back. This sterling silver footed child's cup has a frieze around the rim with twelve nursery rhyme scenes done in relief. There is the cow jumping over the moon, the cat and the fiddle, blackbirds in a pie and others. It has a three-letter monogram with the date '1900' engraved beneath it.
