A large wooden birdcage in the shape of a town hall. It has a faux wood paint treatment over gesso and wire bars. The front door has a painted clock with stationary wire hands. There's a larger opening in the back which can be raised and lowered and the side has an opening at the bottom for sliding a pan in and out, but this cage doesn' have a pan. A lovely 19th century portrait in oil of a beautiful baby girl! This is an unsigned oil on canvas laid down on some type of thin masonite board probably to restore torn or perhaps missing portions of the canvas. The restored portions may be seen in the background just above her head on the right and to the right of her shoulder. A 2-door mahogany wardrobe with raised panels of figured walnut veneers and carvings with an arched beveled mirror in the center. The interior has been fitted with shelves in such a way that all may be removed to covert it back to the original configuration for hanging clothes. It may be taken apart for moving into five pieces, not counting the interior shelving. The size is 78 1/2" High, 56 3/4" Wide and 21" Deep.
